Senior Concrete Materials Expert

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Senior Concrete Materials Expert to join its Panama City team. The role involves overseeing concrete material quality, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and supporting the Resident Engineer in daily construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve contractor‑proposed concrete materials and methods as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
• Prepare and maintain the Material Engineer’s Daily Diary.
• Provide general oversight of contractor daily activities, including work assignments and on‑site performance.
• Supervise sampling and testing, conduct random checks of delivered material, and ensure conformance with approved sources.
• Maintain accurate records and assist the GECs on technical issues.
• Perform statistical analysis on test results and report findings to the Quality Specialist.
• Witness material sampling and testing, reporting to the Quality Manager.
• Coordinate with GECs on inspection and testing proposals.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in concrete materials engineering or quality control.
• Proven ability to supervise on‑site construction activities and material testing.
• Strong analytical skills for statistical evaluation of test data.
