Senior Commissioning Engineer

About the role

ABB is seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning activities for its Ports Crane business unit. You will ensure that all commissioning tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in line with contract specifications, quality standards, and cybersecurity policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or support new and retrofit crane projects, guaranteeing smooth execution.
• Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot equipment and optimise crane system performance.
• Collaborate with project managers to prepare work plans and present service recommendations.
• Implement system improvements, update outdated automation, and configure remote‑monitoring solutions.
• Provide professional technical support, coordinate discussions, and identify additional value opportunities for ABB.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• More than 5 years of experience in installation, service, or commissioning of electrical and automation systems.
• Strong background in crane electrical systems, industrial software, and network commissioning.
• Proficiency with MS Office, strong mechanical aptitude, and a maintenance‑oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel and a valid driver’s licence.
