Senior Back-end Engineer (C#/.NET)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Back‑end Engineer with deep expertise in C# and .NET to design and deliver scalable SaaS solutions for a cloud‑based HR platform serving the public sector. You will join a cross‑functional team, own end‑to‑end development, and leverage modern AI‑assisted tools to accelerate delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Decompose complex business problems into modular, clean solutions.
• Design and implement foundational frameworks using Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) and CQRS patterns.
• Build, maintain, and optimise RESTful APIs and microservices with C#.NET Core, Web API and Entity Framework (EF Core/EF6).
• Design and tune SQL Server databases, write complex stored procedures, and improve query performance.
• Take full responsibility for unit, integration and performance testing under a Shift‑Left / No‑QA model.
• Utilise AI‑assisted development tools to speed up code generation, refactoring and documentation.
• Collaborate directly with Product Managers and engineering squads to translate requirements into customer‑centric features.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise or SaaS software development with C#.NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework and SQL Server.
• Strong grasp of object‑oriented programming, design patterns, multithreading and asynchronous programming.
• Hands‑on experience applying DDD, CQRS and clean separation of business and data layers.
• Proven ability to design, implement and optimise database schemas and stored procedures.
• Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, performance) and a Shift‑Left testing mindset.
