SCADA Project Engineer

About the role

ABB is looking for a SCADA Project Engineer to act as the design authority for low‑ to medium‑complexity SCADA systems. You will work on small projects or specific parts of larger initiatives, applying design‑thinking principles to deliver efficient automation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of SCADA systems for electrification projects.
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and procedures for SCADA assignments.
• Provide technical support during testing, installation, configuration, and commissioning of SCADA solutions.
• Assist in preparing proposals and presentations for automation and control projects.
• Use checklists to verify designs against applicable standards and engineering guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in SCADA or industrial automation engineering.
• Degree in automation engineering, mechatronics, electronics or a related field.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Required skills

• SCADA system design and configuration.
• PLC programming (IEC 61131‑3).
• Testing and commissioning of SCADA solutions.
