Regional Senior Tax Analyst

About the role

The Regional Senior Tax Analyst will ensure consistent management of tax matters across the Puma Group, partnering with local management and the central tax department. This senior position supports tax planning, compliance, risk management, and transfer pricing for a diverse portfolio of businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Review tax forecasts and budgets, providing support for planning activities.
• Assist business restructuring, M&A, and investment projects with tax implications.
• Implement tax strategies for efficient direct and indirect taxation.
• Manage and review tax accounting and reporting processes for income tax, deferred tax, capital gains, WHT, and related items.
• Train regional finance teams on tax accounting and reporting quality.
• Maintain tax compliance trackers, standardize documentation, and improve control processes.
• Conduct tax health checks, GAP analyses, and support audit defense.
• Develop risk‑management strategies, support audits, litigation, and dispute resolution.
• Monitor transfer pricing compliance, documentation, and regulatory impacts.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of corporate tax advisory and accounting experience.
• Knowledge of regional mid‑ and downstream oil & energy business is a plus.
• Familiarity with Central & Latin American tax environments (e.g., Guatemala, El Salvador) is advantageous.
• Strong technical understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and US Federal and State tax laws.
• Fluent in English and Spanish with excellent communication skills.
