Regional Procurement Manager – Packaging

About the role

As a Regional Procurement Manager at Nestlé, you will lead commercial and sourcing activities for the Plastic Resins, Films & Paper board categories used worldwide. You will work from the Panama hub, collaborating with category leaders, suppliers and cross‑functional teams to drive innovation, sustainability and value creation across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Perform supplier market, category and supply‑risk analysis and develop Total Cost Ownership (TCO) models to identify improvement opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts to secure the most beneficial commercial agreements in line with Nestlé’s strategy.
• Contribute to the Group’s Sustainability Commitments, including carbon reduction and virgin‑plastic reduction initiatives.
• Create and execute sourcing strategies for the assigned categories while engaging relevant business partners and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Nestlé’s Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards.
• Coordinate synergies across Nestlé sites to optimise costs and meet company targets.

Required profile

• University degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain or Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing, supplier management and strategic procurement for packaging, preferably plastic resins.
• Proven track record of working in complex, multicultural organisations and developing talent.
• Experience leading sustainability projects within procurement (e.g., carbon reduction, design for recycling).
• Strong understanding of sustainable technologies such as advanced recycling, mechanical recycling and bio‑based plastics.
• Demonstrated success in risk management, responsible sourcing and supplier relationship management.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across a large organisation.
• Fluency in English and knowledge of national and international procurement regulations.
