Rail Project Specialist (Panama)

About the role

AECOM is looking for a Rail Project Specialist to join its Panama team. The role involves delivering high‑quality, cost‑effective rail infrastructure solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a fully capable professional in the field with minimal direction.
• Apply advanced knowledge to develop procedures and tools that support high‑quality, cost‑effective project activities.
• Develop estimates of technical effort for projects and oversee their implementation.
• Manage communication and collaboration with the full project team and client.
• Conduct interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.
• Oversee the development and execution of technical approaches for complex work, exercising creativity and ingenuity.
• Review and provide oversight of project designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic and working drawings.
• Determine technical objectives of assignments and may supervise the work of others.

Required profile

• Professional with advanced knowledge in rail or transportation infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience reviewing technical designs and delivering accurate effort estimates.
• Creative problem‑solver capable of handling complex technical challenges.
