Program & Executive Officer – Latin America & Caribbean

About the role

The Program / Executive Officer, LAC supports the Regional Director in championing children’s rights across Latin America and the Caribbean. The role drives strategic internal communications, external advocacy, and coordination of regional oversight forums, ensuring alignment with Save the Children’s mission and values.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare advocacy briefs, talking points and summaries for regional and global platforms, and coordinate with communications and influencing teams.
• Monitor regional strategic priorities, produce regular reports, and support planning and review processes.
• Assist in diversifying funding sources by creating briefing materials and collaborating with the Resource Mobilization team.
• Develop and implement communication strategies with the Regional Communication Lead, producing tailored materials such as presentations and briefing documents.
• Facilitate Regional Oversight Forums and Internal Coordination Spaces, managing agendas, minutes and follow‑up actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing and implementing communication strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
• Significant experience in internal and external communications with senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with global, cross‑cultural teams.
• Experience in monitoring and evaluating communication impact.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
