About the role

Copa Airlines is seeking a qualified First Officer to join its flight crew in Panama. The role involves supporting the Captain throughout all flight phases, ensuring safe and efficient operations on a daily schedule of commercial flights.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Captain in flight preparation, taxi, take‑off, cruise, approach and landing.
• Review flight plans, technical documentation, weather conditions and aircraft status.
• Adhere to international aviation regulations and internal procedures.
• Collaborate with cabin crew to guarantee passenger safety and comfort.

Required profile

• Valid professional pilot licence in accordance with applicable aviation regulations.
• Type rating for Copa Airlines fleet or willingness to obtain it.
• Commercial flight experience meeting the airline’s minimum hour requirements.
• Strong knowledge of ICAO standards, safety procedures and crew resource management.
• High level of spoken and written English.
• Good medical fitness and willingness to reside in Panama.
