Ports, Goods and Movements Project Manager

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced Ports, Goods and Movements Project Manager to lead business development and project delivery for the LATAM region from its Panama office. The role combines client acquisition, proposal capture, contract negotiation and end‑to‑end management of port and logistics projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies, identify new opportunities, engage clients and lead capture planning and contract negotiations for port and goods movement projects.
• Plan, set up, execute, deliver and close projects across conceptual, prefeasibility, feasibility and detailed design phases, ensuring risk management throughout.
• Report to the LATAM Transportation Business Line Leader and manage a portfolio of multiple client projects, delivering revenue and profit targets.
• Supervise project teams, minimize exposure to claims, and oversee complex projects involving risk‑triggering factors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience designing, managing and delivering ports or goods‑movement projects, with strong client‑management skills.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Preferred: 10 + years of relevant experience and PMP or equivalent certification.
