Port Manager

About the role

The Port Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of Inchcape’s port office, ensuring safe and efficient vessel turnarounds 24/7. This role leads operational matters, coordinates with clients, port authorities and internal teams, and drives service excellence across the port network.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑call service to principals, managing vessel requirements, booking services and conducting vessel boarding.
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation and ensure timely issuance.
• Prepare and submit daily vessel movement reports and keep all stakeholders informed.
• Assess HSSE risks as part of work planning and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Develop and sustain strong relationships with customers, government agencies, and port authorities.
• Share best practices with other Port and Operations Managers and continuously improve service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in maritime or port operations management.
• Ability to lead and motivate staff, set clear objectives and provide constructive feedback.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
• Flexibility to work on a 24/7 on‑call schedule.
