Part-time Forward Deployed Engineering Teaching Expert

About the role

TripleTen, an EdTech company delivering tech‑career programs, is seeking a part‑time Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) Teaching Expert. You will be the senior technical presence guiding experienced production engineers as they transition into client‑facing AI deployment work.

Key responsibilities

• Host group live events covering AI system discovery, scoping, architecture, integration, rollout, and adoption.
• Conduct 1:1 sessions and technical mock interviews for students working on real projects.
• Review student deliverables against detailed rubrics, focusing on client‑facing aspects such as scoping decisions and stakeholder communication.
• Set and maintain the technical standard for a team of supporting instructors, acting as the escalation point for first‑line queries.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional engineering experience, currently at a senior level or above (Senior/Lead/Staff Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect, or technical lead).
• Hands‑on ownership of end‑to‑end AI deployments in real client or enterprise environments, from discovery through production go‑live and adoption.
• Deep familiarity with the Forward Deployed Engineering workflow, including customer discovery, design sessions, scoping, and delivery.
