Operations Manager – Panama Logistics

About the role

We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead the launch and growth of our logistics footprint in Panama. The role focuses on customs clearance, warehouse management, and building a local operational network while collaborating closely with our China headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily logistics and operational activities in Panama.
• Set up and optimise warehouse facilities and customs clearance processes.
• Recruit, train and manage both white‑collar and blue‑collar teams.
• Coordinate with China HQ and cross‑functional overseas teams.
• Monitor KPIs, service quality and operational efficiency.
• Implement SOPs and standardise processes.
• Manage local logistics vendors, carriers and service providers.
• Handle exceptions, resolve operational issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and professional development of the local team.
• Ensure clear communication between local operations and headquarters.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in logistics, warehouse, e‑commerce, retail or customs clearance operations.
• Proven experience managing local operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of Panama customs clearance and logistics market.
• Demonstrated execution capability and ownership mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑changing, cross‑cultural environment.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
