Lead Platform Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to join the Engineering Platform Team of a global automotive services leader. You will own the design and delivery of reusable developer automation, cloud infrastructure, and secure engineering enablement, while staying hands‑on with code and platform tooling.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reusable GitHub Actions for the organization.
• Build and operate AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and overall developer productivity.
• Drive DevSecOps practices, ensuring security, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Establish AI‑assisted development standards with Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
• Mentor engineers through architecture guidance, design discussions, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and Scrum Master on planning and delivery.
• Participate in production support and continuous platform improvement.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software or platform engineering.
• At least 1 year of proven technical leadership and mentoring.
• Strong written documentation skills and excellent English communication (B2+).

Required skills

• Advanced Python proficiency.
• Deep experience with AWS and Terraform.
• GitHub Actions, GitHub Enterprise, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Infrastructure as Code, Docker, Linux.
• DevSecOps tools: SonarQube, CodeQL, Veracode.
• Incident response with PagerDuty.
• Hands‑on experience with Claude Code and/or GitHub Copilot.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, LLM fundamentals, and AI‑assisted software development.
• Knowledge of TypeScript and/or Node.js (nice to have).
