Lead Cloud Engineer / DevOps (GCP)

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer / DevOps specialist to design, build and operate the Google Cloud Platform infrastructure that powers our client’s data and software platforms. The role combines cloud architecture, infrastructure‑as‑code, and modern CI/CD practices to enable reliable, secure and scalable services for analytics and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain GCP infrastructure using Terraform and IaC best practices.
• Manage GKE clusters, ensuring high availability, autoscaling and efficient resource usage.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Jenkins for continuous delivery.
• Implement observability, logging, alerting and incident‑response processes.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Software Engineering to support Snowflake, dbt, Dagster and BigQuery data pipelines.
• Maintain and modernize hybrid environments including Windows Server, Oracle, SQL Server and legacy AWS workloads.
• Drive security, automation and operational excellence across development, staging and production environments.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading DevOps initiatives on GCP in a complex, hybrid environment.
• Strong background in infrastructure automation, container orchestration and CI/CD.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional engineering teams and external partners.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a focus on reliability and security.
