Landside Business and Development Lead

About the role

Maersk is expanding its landside transportation business across Central America and the Caribbean. The Landside Business and Development Lead will drive growth of cross‑border services, develop market strategies and build a robust commercial pipeline to support the company’s logistics transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities into revenue‑generating accounts.
• Build and manage a commercial pipeline aligned with budget and growth targets.
• Create go‑to‑market strategies for priority corridors, customer segments and verticals.
• Analyse market trends, customer needs and competitive landscape to strengthen value propositions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Marketing, Operations and Product teams.
• Lead customer engagement activities, including prospecting, relationship management, business reviews and negotiations.
• Develop business cases and commercial plans for regional and global stakeholders.
• Support the rollout of new transportation solutions and commercial initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain or related fields.
• Proven track record in business development, account management or commercial strategy.
• Strong understanding of landside transportation networks and cross‑border operations in Central America.
• Demonstrated ability to acquire new customers and grow existing accounts.
• Excellent analytical, commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
