Excel Specialist - Remote

About the role

This is a contract position for an Excel Specialist working remotely. You will help shape AI training by creating realistic business scenarios and evaluating AI‑generated Office documents against professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and simulate challenging business scenarios that require expert use of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Engage in structured, multi‑turn conversations with a large language model, presenting complex prompts and reviewing AI outputs.
• Create, edit, and assess .xlsx.docx, and .pptx files, comparing two AI‑generated solutions and selecting the preferred version.
• Document feedback and provide side‑by‑side preference data to improve AI model quality, accuracy, and business relevance.
• Contribute domain‑specific insights across multiple industries and business functions to ensure diverse, real‑world use cases.
• Communicate clearly in written and verbal formats to support the AI training team.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of professional experience in Fortune 500 environments using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word on high‑impact projects.
• Proven ability to build complex models, reports, analyses, and presentations in finance, healthcare, technology, consulting, or retail.
• Background in roles such as private‑equity associate, investment‑banking analyst, junior consultant, FP&A analyst, HR, or marketing strategist.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.
• Experience interacting with large language models or writing long‑form AI prompts is a strong plus.
• Analytical mindset capable of evaluating nuanced differences in document quality and business applicability.
