Environmental Specialist III

About the role

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Specialist III to join its Panama team. The role focuses on conducting environmental assessments and analyses to minimize negative impacts and ensure compliance with local, state, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform environmental assessments, monitoring pollutant levels, and compiling detailed reports.
• Develop and recommend actions for wastewater, stormwater, potable water, ambient air, noise, and solid/hazardous waste management.
• Support remediation, emergency response, and risk analysis activities in line with applicable codes and standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably 5‑7 years in infrastructure projects and environmental assessments.
• Experience preparing environmental impact studies, technical reports, and familiarity with local and IFC standards.
• Registration as an environmental consultant with the Ministry of the Environment (if applicable) and ability to travel frequently.
