Employee Relations Professional

About the role

APM Terminals is seeking an Employee Relations Professional to support its operations at the Port of Balboa in Panama. You will act as a trusted advisor to both leaders and employees, ensuring labor relations are managed effectively within a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance to managers and staff on labor relations matters.
• Resolve individual and collective labor disputes promptly.
• Support performance management processes, including disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Handle complex employee cases in accordance with company policy and local regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law and a valid attorney’s license.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in labor relations, labor law, or HR with a focus on labor issues.
• Strong knowledge of labor law, regulatory compliance, and occupational risk management.
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Lean methodologies (considered a differentiator).
