Electromechanical Technician

About the role

Smartlog Group is looking for an Electromechanical Technician to join its Panama City team. You will be responsible for keeping automated intralogistics equipment running safely and efficiently through preventive and corrective maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on electromechanical systems used in automated warehouses.
• Diagnose faults, adjust settings, and replace components to restore equipment functionality.
• Carry out corrective maintenance and troubleshooting to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to commission new equipment, implement performance improvements, and document all interventions.

Required profile

• Strong aptitude for maintaining electromechanical equipment and ensuring operational continuity.
• Experience in fault diagnosis and the ability to propose quick, safe solutions.
• Solid knowledge of industrial electricity applied to automated machinery.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics, use measurement tools, and operate basic maintenance software.
• Team‑player with clear communication, safety focus, proactive attitude, and willingness to learn new intralogistics technologies.
• Basic English proficiency and, preferably, prior exposure to automated warehouse environments, mobile robotics, or vertical storage systems.
