DevOps Engineer – Microservices & Java Applications

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to support our Microservices platform and Java applications in Panama City. You will work closely with experienced developers, resolve tickets, implement code fixes and drive continuous delivery improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational support for the Microservices platform and Java applications, including ticket resolution and code corrections.
• Design, build and maintain CI‑CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable deployments.
• Monitor system performance, uptime and health, and develop auto‑healing mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and deliver corrective or adaptive changes.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate new code and ensure smooth releases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in DevOps or related roles.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Panama City (relocation from Latin America considered).

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Proficiency in Java with Spring Boot or Quarkus (reactive programming).
• Knowledge of AWS AppSync and Elasticsearch.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and monitoring tools.
