Desktop Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a capable and motivated Desktop Support Engineer to deliver on‑site and on‑call support for end‑users across the organization. The role covers the full lifecycle of desktop devices, from initial provisioning to incident resolution and asset management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage hardware and software incidents for laptops and desktops, ensuring timely resolution.
• Provide IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) and desk‑side break‑fix services.
• Deploy, patch, and maintain standard desktop images using SCCM and other approved tools.
• Handle antivirus management, software installation, printer configuration, and VDI endpoint support.
• Liaise with third‑party vendors for component replacement and warranty claims.
• Conduct routine health checks, asset audits, and maintain the asset management database.
• Offer VIP and smart‑hand support for critical outages and network devices when no other IT team is available.

Required profile

• Motivated professional with a strong focus on delivering accurate desktop support.
• Willingness to be on‑call for critical incidents and VIP assistance.
• Effective communication with end‑users throughout incident handling.

Required skills

• Experience with SCCM for image deployment and patch management.
• Antivirus management on Windows workstations.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and standard office applications.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting, including printer installation.
• Familiarity with Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) support.
• Remote management tools and asset management systems.
• Ability to coordinate with third‑party vendors for hardware replacement.
