Data Engineer

About the role

KrediYA, a regional fintech, is looking for a Data Engineer to automate, validate, and structure large volumes of data. You will ensure data quality, support strategic decision‑making, and help identify risks and opportunities for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automated processes for data analysis and processing.
• Build and optimise ETL pipelines to integrate information from multiple sources.
• Validate, clean and structure large data sets, guaranteeing consistency.
• Generate reliable information to support business decisions.
• Implement Python‑based automations (using Pandas and NumPy) to improve operational efficiency.
• Administer and interact with Google Cloud Platform services, including Cloud Run Functions, Buckets and Secret Manager.
• Manage databases and write SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
• Identify data‑related risks, inconsistencies and improvement opportunities.
• Document processes and enforce best practices in data handling.

Required profile

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in data engineering, automation or data management.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication, teamwork and a proactive, results‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• SQL and MySQL.
• Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data processing and automation.
• ETL design and optimisation.
• Advanced Excel and report automation.
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – Cloud Run Functions, Buckets, Secret Manager.
