Data Engineer – eCommerce

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Data Engineer with strong eCommerce domain expertise to own and evolve the data infrastructure that powers our operations across Latin America. You will design end‑to‑end pipelines, integrate high‑volume platforms, and deliver data products that enable analytics and intelligent commerce experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate batch‑oriented data pipelines using Azure Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.
• Build and publish data products across catalog, pricing, promotions, inventory, orders, payments, fulfillment, and returns.
• Create reusable pipeline components and implement incremental processing, backfills, and schema evolution.
• Integrate eCommerce platforms (e.g., Amazon) and related APIs, handling authentication, pagination, rate limits, retries, and idempotency.
• Develop ingestion solutions via REST APIs, webhooks, files, and cloud‑native interfaces.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and recovery mechanisms for critical integrations.
• Optimize Spark workloads through partitioning, join strategies, caching, and query‑plan analysis.
• Establish automated data‑quality controls, observability, and root‑cause analysis processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering in production environments.
• Strong eCommerce domain knowledge.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.
• Proven ability to design scalable, fault‑tolerant data pipelines.
