Country Manager

About the role

Grünenthal is seeking an entrepreneurial Country Manager to lead its Commercial, Marketing & Sales (CAM) organization in a specific market. You will shape and execute the country’s business strategy, drive sustainable growth, and ensure the delivery of pain‑relief treatments that improve patients’ lives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the CAM business strategy, aligning local, regional and global priorities.
• Maximise portfolio performance, achieve commercial objectives and ensure brand availability across priority channels.
• Build and develop high‑performing Sales and Marketing teams, fostering capability, engagement and accountability.
• Oversee brand‑plan execution, ensuring impactful omnichannel customer engagement.
• Promote productivity, execution excellence and data‑driven decision‑making across the organization.
• Represent CAM with key customers and partners, contributing to regional leadership forums.
• Monitor market dynamics, healthcare systems and competitor activity to anticipate risks and opportunities.
• Mobilise cross‑functional matrix teams around shared business priorities.
• Lead the broader CAM organization, including KAM, Sales Leadership, Brand Management, Distribution and administrative functions.
• Develop talent, promote learning agility and strengthen long‑term business capabilities.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive commercial experience in the pharmaceutical industry (sales, marketing, medical affairs or related functions).
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing teams and resources in a complex business environment.
• Proven track record of developing and executing commercial strategies that deliver sustainable results.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate market insights into actionable commercial plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
