Cost Estimator – Rail

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Cost Estimator specialized in rail projects to join its team in Panama. You will be responsible for managing all cost‑related activities from the early stages of a project through to its completion, while upholding the company’s high standards of professionalism and client service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver all aspects of cost management from project inception through completion.
• Uphold the highest professional standards in client interactions, reinforcing AECOM’s reputation.
• Drive performance standards and technical excellence through effective communication and use of performance‑management processes.
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships, promoting premium quality services.
• Support internal teams and mentor junior staff on technically complex projects.
• Identify marketing opportunities and coordinate with Directors and the Business Development department.

Required profile

• Proven competence in cost estimating and management for rail infrastructure.
• Excellent communication skills with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop junior team members.
• Proactive attitude toward business development and marketing initiatives.
