Contador CPA – Panamá

About the role

We are looking for a qualified CPA to join our finance team in Panama. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our accounting records, supporting monthly closes, and preparing financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Verify, integrate and validate accounting entries in the ERP system.
• Execute the monthly closing process and perform variance analysis.
• Prepare financial consolidation and inter‑company eliminations.
• Draft financial statements for internal use and external regulators.
• Manage tax filings (ITBMS, withholdings, annexes, income tax) and review foreign remittances for tax compliance.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Stay updated on applicable accounting and tax regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a valid CPA license.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Preferable experience in construction, engineering or project‑based companies.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Panamanian tax law.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle or similar.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical abilities and ability to meet deadlines.
