Cloud Consulting Architect (GCP) – Remote

About the role

As a Cloud Consulting Architect specializing in Google Cloud Platform, you will drive AI‑enabled mainframe modernization projects, converting legacy COBOL systems into modern Java, Go, or .NET solutions on GCP. You will work remotely, collaborating directly with clients to translate technical changes into business value.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client‑facing architecture engagements for application modernization.
• Re‑architect legacy and mainframe‑class systems into cloud‑native platforms using Java, Go, or .NET.
• Communicate technical strategies and business benefits to stakeholder groups.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams within a fully GCP‑based environment.

Required profile

• 8+ years of cloud architecture experience with GCP.
• Consulting or professional services background with project‑based, client‑facing delivery.
• Proven track record in application modernization and re‑architecting legacy systems.
• Strong data architecture expertise on GCP, including BigQuery and data pipeline design.
• Experience with AI engineering practices such as harness engineering or spec‑driven design.
• Excellent requirements‑gathering and test‑driven design skills.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
