Business Unit Manager – Oncology

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Business Unit Manager for Oncology to lead the hematology business unit. The role is responsible for setting strategic direction, ensuring operational excellence, and driving commercial success across marketing, sales, access, and medical affairs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the business unit strategy for oncology, aligning with corporate objectives and market opportunities.
• Lead, inspire, and develop high‑performing marketing and sales teams, including Product Managers, Sales Managers, and Sales Representatives.
• Coordinate activities of access and medical affairs teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Drive sales growth through targeted marketing initiatives, competitive positioning, and effective resource allocation.
• Monitor hematology market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategy and identify new opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare providers, payers, and patient organizations.
• Validate sales quota and incentive plans each quarter in partnership with SFE.
• Oversee business unit budgets, ensuring optimal investment and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high‑performing marketing and sales teams.
• Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams, including access and medical affairs.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with key opinion leaders, healthcare providers, payers, and patient groups.
