Business Analyst

About the role

PayJoy, a Public Benefit Corporation focused on providing credit to underserved customers in emerging markets, is looking for a Business Analyst to support its sales and marketing teams. The role will turn large volumes of data into actionable insights that drive performance and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze sales performance data and create data‑driven reports with visualizations to guide decision‑making.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
• Filter and analyze large data sets consistently, building a solid foundation for risk‑aware decisions.
• Identify improvement opportunities, monitor training impact, and recommend actions based on product and process understanding.
• Measure internal sales performance using KPIs, KBIs, KKIs, and KSIs.
• Assess marketing campaign metrics (traffic, leads, CAC, engagement) to generate insights and monitor ROI.
• Evaluate effectiveness of sales enablement programs, promotions, and incentives.
• Prioritize multiple reporting requests and manage report generation.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights for new operational and commercial initiatives.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or Data Analytics.
• 2+ years of data analysis experience in sales or marketing.
• Finance and startup experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and relationship‑building abilities.
• Analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills with large, complex data sets.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and learn new processes.

Required skills

• Intermediate SQL.
• Data‑visualization tools such as Power BI, Looker, or Tableau.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets proficiency.
