About the role

The Technology Risk Auditor I will support comprehensive inspections of IT governance, electronic banking, information security and cyber‑risk within supervised entities. The role works closely with senior auditors and the risk coordination team to evaluate controls, regulatory compliance and data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Execute assigned procedures for full‑scope inspections of the PIP, focusing on IT governance, electronic banking channels and cyber‑risk.
• Assist the Technology Risk Auditor II in assessing controls, regulatory compliance and internal policies across technology‑supported business lines.
• Analyze data for inconsistencies, verify integrity, quality and controls, and prepare findings and recommendations.
• Support the coordinator in tracking bank responses to findings, recommendations and fraud reports related to electronic banking.
• Participate in special investigations of fraud cases, evaluate bank and client actions, and analyze data submitted by banks.
• Generate detailed findings (F2) and improvement recommendations based on criticality.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Risk Management Management or coordinator.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Auditing, Programming, Systems Analysis, Engineering or a related IT field.
• 1–3 years of experience in systems auditing, IT risk, or a similar position.
• Knowledge of Panama’s technological risk regulations (Agreement 3‑2012) and electronic banking regulations (Agreement 6‑2011).
• Familiarity with IT risk frameworks, information security, business continuity and related standards.
• At least 18 months in the current role and no active disciplinary sanctions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the IDEA audit tool.
• Proficiency with the Team Mate tool.
• Understanding of electronic banking systems and fraud monitoring.
• Experience in systems audit methodology.
