About the role

We are looking for a highly analytical and adaptable Data Analyst to join our team at Minera Panamá S.A. The role will be pivotal in leveraging data to improve asset management, optimize maintenance strategies, and support informed decision‑making across our operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform deep data analysis to identify trends, patterns and anomalies related to asset performance, maintenance activities and operational efficiency.
• Use CMMS (ERP) systems to extract, analyze and interpret maintenance data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Develop and implement optimization strategies for asset utilization, maintenance scheduling and resource allocation.
• Conduct failure analysis using various techniques to determine root causes and recommend preventive actions.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Reliability‑Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs.
• Monitor asset condition and performance through data analysis to enable proactive maintenance planning.
• Perform risk assessments on operational processes and asset performance, identifying vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
• Generate clear, concise and high‑impact reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and guidance on best practices for data management and analysis within the team and the wider organization.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in industrial machinery or the mining sector.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Knowledge of asset management principles and practices.
• Experience analyzing condition‑monitoring data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information in an understandable way.
• Ability to make data‑driven decisions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
