After School Tutor

About the role

Bright Minds Panama is seeking a part‑time After School Tutor to work on‑site in Panama City. The tutor will support Chinese students enrolled in local schools by delivering individualized instruction in English, Spanish, and core academic subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one or small‑group tutoring sessions after school hours.
• Assist students with daily homework, exam preparation, and reinforcement of classroom concepts.
• Create simple lesson plans or practice materials aligned with the school curriculum.
• Monitor student progress and report academic needs to families or coordinators.
• Help students develop effective study habits and confidence in a multicultural environment.

Required profile

• Strong instructional skills in core subjects with the ability to adapt teaching methods.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish to support language acquisition.
• Excellent communication, cultural sensitivity, and interpersonal abilities.
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience, preferably with school‑aged or multilingual learners.
• Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Education, Languages, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work after‑school hours on‑site.
