After School Teacher (Part‑time)

About the role

Bright Minds Panama is seeking a part‑time After School Teacher to work on‑site in Panama City. You will support Chinese students living in Panama by delivering engaging lessons in English and Spanish and helping them succeed in core academic subjects after regular school hours.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate lessons in English and Spanish.
• Provide guidance and assistance with homework, test preparation, and academic projects across core subjects.
• Monitor individual student progress and adapt instruction to meet each learner’s needs.
• Maintain clear, regular communication with students and their families.
• Foster a supportive, motivating learning environment that builds confidence and positive study habits.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in education and teaching, with experience supporting school‑age learners.
• Demonstrated ability to design structured, age‑appropriate learning activities.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with students and families.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish; experience with Chinese students is a plus.
• Relevant academic background in Education, Languages, or a related field; prior tutoring or classroom experience preferred.
• Reliability, cultural sensitivity, and patience for after‑school, on‑site work.
