Network Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Network Administrator to manage and optimise our corporate network infrastructure. The role involves ensuring high availability, security and performance of the data network in line with business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network operations, resolve incidents and perform diagnostics.
• Evaluate, recommend and procure network devices and related software.
• Configure, install and maintain routers, switches, firewalls and other network equipment.
• Liaise with ISPs and external contractors for service delivery.
• Implement network security measures, including firewalls, cryptography, host security and backup/disaster‑recovery plans.
• Maintain user accounts, file permissions and system integrity.
• Document network issues, resolutions and performance benchmarks.
• Plan and execute changes during scheduled windows to minimise impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in network administration or a similar role.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – Routing & Switching.

Required skills

• CCNA certification (Routing & Switching).
• Router and switch configuration.
• Firewall configuration and network security.
• Network troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
